2. Acceptance of Terms
By submitting an enrolment form, paying a programme fee, or signing a retainer agreement, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
You must be at least 18 years of age to enrol in a Synthara Lab programme. By enrolling, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
Organisations entering into an enterprise retainer agree on behalf of themselves and confirm they have authority to bind the organisation.
3. Programme Description
Synthara Lab offers three programmes: the Weekend Workshop (RM 450 per participant), the RL Fundamentals course (RM 3,050 per participant), and the Enterprise Training & Advisory Retainer (RM 4,700 per month, 12-month contract).
Each programme is described with a published syllabus, reading strip (contact hours, self-study hours, prerequisite level, assessment format), and an honest scope paragraph stating what the programme does not cover. These descriptions are part of the agreement.
Programmes are currently delivered primarily to participants based in Malaysia. Delivery of individual programmes to international participants may be arranged subject to prior written agreement.
4. Enrolment and Access
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment in full (for individual programmes) or upon signing of the retainer agreement and receipt of the first monthly payment (for the enterprise retainer).
Access to programme materials and sessions is personal to the enrolled Participant or, for the enterprise retainer, to the enrolled cohort members. Materials may not be shared with or transferred to third parties.
For the enterprise retainer, cohort member names must be provided to Synthara Lab at least five business days before each quarterly training block.
5. User Responsibilities
- Attend sessions with a working device and the stated prerequisites in place
- Complete assessment submissions in your own work and not submit another person's work as your own
- Treat instructors and other participants with professional courtesy
- Not record, reproduce, or distribute session content or course materials without prior written permission from Synthara Lab
- Not use course materials for commercial purposes outside your own organisation
6. Intellectual Property
All Content, including syllabi, course materials, documentation templates, and evaluation frameworks, remains the intellectual property of Synthara Lab.
Upon enrolment, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Content for your own learning or, in the case of the enterprise retainer, for internal use within your organisation during and after the retainer period.
You may not reproduce, resell, or create derivative works from Synthara Lab Content without written permission.
7. Payment Terms
All prices are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR). Payment is due in full before programme access is provided for individual programmes. For the enterprise retainer, monthly payments are due on the first of each month.
Accepted methods: bank transfer, credit/debit card via our payment processor.
Refund policy — individual programmes: full refund if cancellation is notified in writing at least 10 business days before the programme start date. No refund for cancellations within 10 business days of the start date. If Synthara Lab cancels or postpones a programme, a full refund will be offered or a transfer to the next available date.
Refund policy — enterprise retainer: the retainer may be terminated by either party with 60 days' written notice. Fees paid for months already delivered are non-refundable. No refund is due for the notice period months.
8. Programme-Specific Terms
Weekend Workshop: The workshop covers a single defined path from raw tabular data to a documented model. The scope stated in the programme description is the scope delivered. Synthara Lab does not adjust workshop content based on individual participant requests received after enrolment.
RL Fundamentals: Assessment is by three implementation exercises and a final reproduction study. Submission deadlines are communicated at the start of the course. Late submissions may receive partial credit at the instructor's discretion. There is no re-sit provision for incomplete courses.
Enterprise Retainer: The curriculum is tailored to the organisation's stated stack and refreshed quarterly. The retainer does not include responsibility for the organisation's production systems and does not constitute advice on regulated obligations. These limitations are also stated in the retainer agreement.
9. Disclaimers
Programmes are delivered on the basis described in the published syllabus and scope statement. Synthara Lab makes no representation that completing a programme will result in employment, promotion, or any specific professional outcome.
Course content reflects the state of the field at the time of delivery. AI and machine learning is a fast-moving area; some material may date quickly. Where possible, we note this in the course.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Malaysian law, Synthara Lab's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to a programme shall not exceed the amount paid by you for that programme.
Synthara Lab shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages including loss of data, loss of revenue, or business interruption, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Synthara Lab, its instructors, and staff from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of programme Content, or your infringement of any third-party rights in connection with your use of our programmes.
12. Termination
Synthara Lab may terminate your access to a programme without refund if you breach these Terms, including by sharing course materials without authorisation or submitting another person's work as your own.
For the enterprise retainer, either party may terminate with 60 days' written notice. Synthara Lab may terminate immediately (with a pro-rata refund for any unexpired period already paid) if the organisation materially breaches the retainer agreement.
13. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation between the parties for a period of 30 days.
If the dispute is not resolved within 30 days, it shall be referred to mediation under the rules of the Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC) in Kuala Lumpur. If mediation fails, the courts of Malaysia shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
14. General Provisions
- Entire agreement: these Terms, together with any enrolment confirmation or retainer contract, constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the subject matter.
- Severability: if any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.
- Waiver: failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment: you may not assign your rights under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify enrolled participants by email at least 14 days before a material change takes effect. The current version will always be available at syntharadio.world/terms-conditions.html.
Continued participation in a programme after the effective date of a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
